A focused browser tool for finding and saving media that is already available in public Threads and Instagram posts.

What we built

Threads Downloader turns a supported public post URL into a clear list of the videos and photos exposed by that post. You can inspect the preview, choose an available rendition, and hand the selected file to your browser's download manager without creating an account or installing another app.

The service is designed to keep a narrow purpose. It is not a social network, media library, reposting platform, or private-content viewer. It simply makes the media options attached to one public post easier to understand and save.

How it works

  1. You paste the URL of an individual public post.
  2. The resolver checks that post and returns the media renditions the source currently makes available.
  3. When you choose Download, the selected response is streamed through the download proxy to your browser.

Source quality determines the result. The tool can label and present the renditions it finds, but it does not manufacture missing detail, upscale low-resolution media, or promise that every source will be MP4.

Scope and limits

Threads Downloader is intended only for media from accessible public posts.

  • It does not bypass sign-in, follower, age, or regional controls.
  • It cannot restore deleted posts or media the source no longer serves.
  • It does not remove creator branding embedded in a photo or video.
  • Availability can change when Threads, Instagram, or their delivery systems change.

Privacy and independence

The downloader does not require a profile, advertising identifier, or analytics account. Media files are streamed rather than written to persistent application storage. The Privacy pageexplains the request data, brief metadata cache, previews, and contact correspondence in more detail.

Use public media responsibly
